Houzz Tour: A Georgian Home Blends then Features and Modern Design - When the owners of this listed Georgian property first eyes on the inside, he was in a state of disrepair that have been vacant for more than three years. "The mansion had been used for commercial purposes before being turned into residential housing," says the designer Cherie Lee, who took on the project, "so much of the character of the house was lost or deleted.
wanted the couple inside their home, which covers one third of the total space, to be sympathetic to the age of the property, but with a contemporary twist. Local authorities supported the work, since the property was vacant for some time. "We made some changes on the outside, which could have been more difficult," says Lee. The result is a beautiful and spacious house spread over three floors, combining traditional fixtures with modern materials, such as steel and glass, and the technology of the house edge.

The renovated and remodeled home is a sophisticated and luxurious blend of old and new. "We have worked with an architect and construction local company to renovate the house and have been involved from the beginning," says designer Cherie Lee.
'The house was to be an entertainment area for the pair, but be suitable for a family in the future. Customers wanted a mix of period features and contemporary life, "she adds.
"We do not really want to partition the space, but the introduction of a single step shows that they are distinct areas," explains the designer. The coating floor is antique french oak.

"The work of art is in fact most of the time very affordable," says Lee. "We used a selection of Rockett St George and Print Club London mainly. The owners like to use art to bring out their personality and add humor to the most fun areas in the house. "
