Lenovo Serves Up Budget-Friendly rack server for SMEs -
Lenovo released the ThinkServer RS140, one rack server processor 1U entry designed for SMEs and remote office deployments. Available with a range of choice of processors, including processors of the series of the last generation Intel Xeon E3-1200, customizable options, and Intel AMT 9.0 for remote management, this versatile rack server is designed to accommodate a variety workloads, including distributed enterprises and data center edge, as well as stand-alone applications such as retail, collaboration and iT infrastructure.
The ThinkServer RS140 offers a collection of standard features and extension options for flexible deployments in various environments. The server supports the entire range of processors Intel Xeon E3-1200 series with integrated graphics processing ideal for data center edge systems to multimedia streaming service, games and other graphics intensive web content. To achieve economies of additional costs, the RS140 can be configured with Intel Core i3, Pentium and Celeron family of desktop processors.
The RS140 supports up to 32 GB of RAM and 8 TB of internal storage, and is equipped with a full-height, half-length x8 Gen 3 PCIe slot for optional RAID protection or the network expansion. At only 16.2 inches deep, the server can be deployed in environments with limited space, including wiring closets and two post racks. The RS140 supports open networking standards and can be managed in a multi-vendor environment for the deployment and simplified maintenance.
