Kitchen of the week: A Scottish cuisine Inspired by the coastal views - As one of four apartments in an Edwardian mansion overlooking a beach on the coast of Edinburgh, the starting point for the design of this room was the rugged landscape. space is very large, with the entire room measuring approximately 6m x 12m, and was designed primarily for entertainment. "The family wanted a space that could accommodate many people, but also function as a family room," says Camilla. The owners have an extendable table that can be highlighted for dinner, then pushed to the side when not in use.

Have customers which had made good their research meant Camilla was able to concentrate on the finer details. The family knew they wanted a big kitchen island, which ended up being 3.2m in length, to cook a more sociable experience.

Corian worktop was part of the memory and Camilla was able to advise clients on the thickness, which ended up being 80mm. "It was the most aesthetic and gave the most wow factor," she said. "He is tall and stocky, he can give this note and substantial grounding in the room." The final is Lava Rock, and it has a very similar look to polished concrete. symmetry was an important factor in the design of the kitchen. "I'm a little obsessive when it comes to symmetry, admits Camilla. "I wanted the kitchen to be kept fairly minimalist in order not to distract views, and all have kept the symmetrical look neat and tidy," she explains.
Two doors on the left and right of the kitchen area set the tone for the rest of the space. The door to the left leads to a utility area, and on the right is a pantry. These additional storage areas provided the greater freedom to keep the elegant and sophisticated designer kitchen area.
Camilla worked symmetry further with two wardrobes full length of each side of the work area, housing a fridge-freezer and the other with an oven and grill .

The small metal disc near the center of the island is actually an electrical outlet, containing USB ports and sockets, that appears when needed, which makes it even more multifunctional space.
Camilla also gave a color consultation for the rest of the apartment, and the smooth blue tones of the corridor are visible from the cooking area. In the kitchen, she used Hardwick White Farrow & Ball on the walls and score on the woodwork and ceiling.
