Datto launches a new class of solutions for the market of the continuity of business -
Local and provider of hybrid cloud backup off-site, disaster recovery (BDR ), and continuity of Datto Inc. solutions activities has advanced its comprehensive range of solution offerings. Launched in 2014 XChange Solution Provider event in Los Angeles, Datto built a hardware solution and cloud specifically for the market for business continuity.
The new version of the product for MSPs and VARs carries the slogan "Business Continuity Built from the Ground Up" and features hot swap bays, semiconductor OS drives, Intel made day processor and scalable terrain capabilities, among many others, and forms of external framework was designed to add a visual spark and uniform appearance.
the launch includes three collections of Datto products. the 2 family Datto SIRIS includes SIRIS 2 Business, SIRIS 2 Professional and SIRIS 2 Enterprise. the family Datto ALTO consists of ALTO 2 ALTO XL and ALTO XL Professional, while the third and newest addition to the collection of Datto snap NAS products .
SIRIS 2
An overhaul of the line of Datto SIRIS lighthouse, SIRIS 2 shows the continuity of the company built from the ground up for companies of all sizes . SIRIS 2 protects and restores critical business data, with the ability to maintain an operational activity in case of unavailability. SIRIS 2 offers the availability of upgrades in the field and a total of 11 models of equipment.
- SIRIS 2 Business is aimed at SMEs that do not require a rack mount unit, but want instant local virtualization. Customers as small as 500GB can grow them in RDB 3TB without replacement of the device.
- SIRIS 2 Professional, for the mid-market, provides local failover instant backup and redundant cloud with a non-dependent backup chain. Hot-swappable disks and IPMI berries are standard on all models, such as the ability to expand to 1TB to 5TB without replacement of the device.
- SIRIS 2 Enterprise is offer the most robust range with two Xeon E5 six cores with up to 96 GB of expandable RAM. The system supports all Datto proprietary software and can run multiple virtualizations then synchronize with the cloud, without loss of performance. A redundant configuration supports a 5TB of data range to 36 TB of storage without replacing the device.
SIRIS All models have 2 ports USB 3.0 front panel to support RoundTrip process faster.
ALTO 2 and XL
Launched in April 2013, the enterprise-class solution ALTO BDR is designed specifically for small businesses.
- ALTO 2 updates include a new quad-core processor that updates two times faster and a motherboard that supports better technology of reverse Datto chain. Additional features include dual Gigabit NICs to accommodate and restore network functions.
- ALTO XL, the product most requested by Datto Partners provides ALTO technology with a capacity greater than 1 TB. ALTO XL is the ALTO 2 larger device and has features like SSD OS, drive bays hot swappable and software improvements such as backup and Hybrid Virtualization Insights. Additional features include RAID on all models and quad-core CPU for faster backups.
- ALTO XL Professional has all the basic technologies and features ALTO XL, but even in larger capacities. ALTO XL Professional extends from 5TB to 26TB.
All ALTO ALTO 2 and XL models have USB 3.0 ports front panel to support the release process or seeding the fastest round clouds.
Datto snap NAS
Snap NAS is a network attached storage (NAS) device that uses snapshots to give users the ability to track versions and see the changes are produced through multiple actions. The device integrates Windows-based operating systems and can even serve as a storage area network (SAN) within an IT infrastructure due to a ISCSI VMware integration to come. Snap NAS comes in a recurring revenue model and offers a new approach to revenue Datto Partners.
