Enterprise Backup Appliances 3100, 2100, 1100, and 800 of STORServer took four of the top five positions in the DKIM 2012 backup Appliance Buyer's Guide. DCIG evaluated 66 products before placing it in a EBA3100 own category.

On the heels honors by the analyst firm DCIG 2012 Backup Appliance and Buyer's Guide comes new and updated models of the business of the company, and the entry -level Instant restore lines of the device.

New Backup Appliances

STORServer offers a complete suite of enterprise backup appliances, and software and services for IBM TSM customers solve backup challenges of archiving and recovery in disaster today. The original unit's approach to society for the protection of data is distributed through a network of certified resellers to more than 200 sales organizations.

STORServer Enterprise Backup Appliances released since the rankings September 5 DKIM are three updates for certified resellers STORServer:

  • BA601 and BA701 - The BA601 has 1.5 TB of integrated storage pool and optional 6 or 9 TB of internal storage permit. It supports up to 1 TB of daily changes. The BA701 has 4 TB of integrated storage pool and optional 10 or 15 TB of internal storage permit. It supports up to 2 TB of daily changes. Each model will allow a disc tray basic and expansion shelves along with an optional tape library. Each model uses either profitable customer base license and the agent or capacity licensing option. Both offer disaster recovery options that include replicated another device, remote tape or disk and cloud
  • Consolidated Enterprise Backup Appliances (EBA) -. These solutions implement M4 IBM servers "green", simplify configurations include three times larger daily improvements in exchange rates, and offer a choice of storage more
    • EBA802 - This is designed for all office or data center (replaces the 801 and 851 models)
    • EBA1202 - .. intended for larger offices and centers data with remote branches (replaces model 1102)
    • EBA2202 - targeted for organizations with up to 100 terabytes of data storage (replaces 2102 and 2502 models)
    • EBA3202 -. Sized for huge daily changes and very large storage requirements (replaces the 3102 and 3501 models).
  • single restore snapshot (IR) Appliance - streamlined with a price even lower for SMEs working primarily with Windows or Linux environments is the IR501. Offers up to 11 TV of data storage to a client environment (about 3 TB of data) and connectivity to the disk array from one base and shelf expansion (a repository of total 40 TB) . the recovery options include disaster or remote disk replication to a secondary IR Appliance, or BA or EBA.

The Backup Appliance Enterprise lines, which include the complete data deduplication (both source and target) across all models start at $ 18,999 for the EBA802, $ 29,919 for EBA1202, 53919 $ EBA2202 and for a starting price for the EBA3202 of $ 110,180.
