NAS solution Overland Storage Unveils New Cluster for SMEs -
The data management and protection of innovative Overland Storage has a new clustered NAS solution for SMEs . The solution SnapScale, is built on the new technology Raincloud OS society.
"SnapScale eliminates independent storage silos and unifies storage volumes under one global namespace," Overland Storage state in a press release submitted to Channelpro -SMB .
Adaptable to 512 petabytes, SnapScale is designed to provide maximum availability and "one non-point of failure" architecture with features such as redundancy, snapshots, automatic failover, replication and flexible provisioning. it also has the ability to add hundreds of petabytes of capacity and performance for the linear scale.
"Today, companies are driven by data more than ever," said Jillian Mansolf, senior vice president of Overland Storage of global sales and marketing. "with over 300,000 SnapServers deployed worldwide, we listened to our customers and designed SnapScale to push the boundaries of NAS scale-out solutions available in this class, while offering the simplicity class functionality, reliability and business people expect of SnapServer solutions. "
Product Features
Raincloud OS combines three layers of traditional storage architectures to. File system, volume manager and data protection in one unified software layer, which creates an intelligent global namespace that covers all nodes in a cluster.
Raincloud SnapScale OS provides the ability to set up clusters in under ten minutes, and has an interface based on a browser "manage all" that dramatically simplifies storage set-up, configuration and maintenance.
SnapScale allows administrators to increase capacity by adding disks or scale capacity by adding nodes. protection additional data can be obtained by replicating data between clusters with Snap Enterprise data Replicator, which is included.
the Overland Storage NAS SnapScale cluster is immediately available from ' a global network of value added resellers and system integrators.
