Datto is launching a new backup and disaster recovery product to the chain -
Datto, a backup vendor and disaster recovery, now offers Siris, a data backup product that can virtualize offsite.
According Datto, Siris offers continuity of activities after complete end. By eliminating image chain in the backup process, Datto devices take information directly from the server to virtual machines.
The company also says the Datto process of inverse chain technology prevents the risk of damage to files because the base image is always the most recent file. This is different from traditional backup where computers have to rely on the old files to restore the most recent. Datto The new technology ensures that the complete image is always at the front of the backup chain, and is not based on past files for recovery.
Siris is also the only backup device in the channel that offers instant off-site virtualization. This feature allows fast recovery even in case of loss of the entire system, enabling failover of business completely to the cloud.
Siris offers a full range of features that enable managed service providers (MSPs) and Value Added Resellers (VARs) to bring this solution to companies of different sizes. Siris sheds the backup process by providing screenshots of each backup image. Siris also implements other benefits such as data deduplication, instant local virtualization, quick setup and a web interface that is managed over the Internet. The user has the ability to test virtual machines at any time.
