Pivot3 Announces New Version of vSTAC -

Today Pivot3 announced its first joint product since its acquisition of NexGen, the latest vSTAC. According Pivot3, this new version will HCl past where it is currently used (VDI, backup, DR and ROBO) and bring in the full range of data center applications.

The acquisition of NexGen Pivot3 gave access to other network companies PCIe flash and quality of service (QoS) innovations. This marks what is expected to be the first of many announcements of new products that use the technology acquired in the acquisition. This version combines vSTAC Pivot3 of HMI devices in a multi-level flash network governed by the advanced QoS engine NexGen. Table HCI and the flash can be managed from a single console using a plug-in VMware vCenter Server, which includes the ability to provision storage services at a level VM. Pivot3 says these new capabilities will vSTAC performance to scale to meet data center needs. They will claim that on the basis of simple policy-based management users can see up to 94% of resource efficiency, high availability, with sustained performance, and performance guaranteed applications.

The new version of vSTAC aims to environments where there is diverse set of workloads or users of mixed applications that require guaranteed performance. Pivot3 says its new product will provide scalability to HCI and eliminate the need for consumption of capacity or performance.
