Cloud-Based Management in a SaaS BDR world

Cloud-Based Management in a SaaS BDR world -

file sharing cloud forces and continuity of innovative activity eFolder joined with based backup image and disaster recovery (BDR) Replibit provider. With eFolder BDR for Replibit, channel pros and their SMB clients acquire BDR offers basic image that captures and reproduces the server backup to a eFolder Cloud every few minutes.

Read more about the solution and better understand the state of the industry eFolder BDR-Replibit the Channelpro Network turned to Ted Hulsy, vice president of eFolder marketing. The exchange below is a revised version of this interview.

Channelpro-SMB: eFolder BDR for Replibit got some attention this week. Tell us about eFolder and its various partners.

Hulsy: The way eFolder address space for business continuity in the channel is a product line called eFolder BDR. What is truly unique about the eFolder strategy is that we execute what we call "open cloud strategy." What we do is in partnership with various software companies that provide and deliver backup software based on the image, then we bring clouds and recovery components clouds of the partner solution. In many cases, we will gather the software in the total service offering, but sometimes the partner will source the software itself and then just join our service to it.

So we are the only cloud player that supports Acronis, AppAssure, StorageCraft, Veeam, and now Replibit. We support five different flavors backup software based on the image to save our cloud and we provide the opportunity for partners, as part of a disaster to recover data in many different ways.

Channelpro-SMB: And we talk about Replibit.

Hulsy :. Replibit is an interesting company based in Orlando, Fla. The company founder is Andy Bensinger, a sort of legend in the BDR and the resumption of space disaster. He was the technical brains behind the Zenith [Infotech] BDR. His company has provided a large number of patents and core technology for the solution of Zenith BDR.

The Replibit software allows you to take the production servers that you want to protect, the Replibit software agents on them, and make it a BDR device. Eighty-five percent of the time, if there is a failure, you usually have a hardware failure or software corruption on a production servers and 95 percent of the time, you make a recovery on the spot. So you go to this unit and saying. "Listen, I want to virtualize your production server and run it here for now while I figure out what is going on"

Then we we connect that device to the eFolder BDR cloud and we reply all data in our cloud in the name of a partner. this way, if there is a disaster, we can then export the data to cloud our partner or we could actually run the servers in the cloud eFolder continuity, which is our recovery environment

Channelpro -SMB. are there other benefits to the eFolder or offers of Replibit that benefit MSPs specifically

Hulsy:. Yes for example, Replibit allows us to do upgrades on the ground for a data device. so if you do not have a Windows operating system on the server, we can go through basic Linux and install the software just Replibit above. This is very important because the partners are always looking for ways to save and reuse the field deployed equipment

Another thing we do is the combination of a ton of cloud storage protected server. Thus, the price starts at $ 65 per protected server, and cloud storage bundle we 2TB in eFolder cloud-protected server. Partners can really look deployment and go, "Okay, it will cost me big $ 65 per month to fully protect the production server, and I can turn around and charge the customer ranging from $ 130 to $ 180 per month to protect this server. "

this is what we commonly see to partners. This allows them to drive very high growth margins, where they are 50, 60, 70 percent profit margins each month from a recovery service disaster.
