Kitchen of the week: An oak Airy and concrete kitchen in the Cotswolds - The owners of this house lived in London when they decided they wanted to escape their busy lives. They found a Grade II Cotswold stone house near Bath, and began to make their own with the help of architect Charlie Luxton and kitchen designer Sam Shaw sustainable kitchens.

When this same level, extending to the pitched roof was built by Luxton and his team, Shaw came in and designed the kitchen itself. The concept was a clean, contemporary look and a sociable disposition, but always with sustainability in mind. "We wanted the kitchen to be a real hub and space for socializing, he said.
