STORServer launched a second device entry-level backup, the BA641-CV and a new "Small" extension system CommVault (EBA-EXPSM-CV). Both systems are powered by CommVault.
BA641 ™ is an enhanced version of the BA601-CV adding 256 gigabytes of RAID drives 2 to 1 "value" class solid state (SSD). It is also upgraded to the forefront of hot-swappable disks and comes with a faster processor. The net result is lower costs for the client sites with up to 10 terabytes (TBS) Front-End Terabyte (FET) capabilities that would otherwise have to buy the biggest 20 TB FET EBA802-CV.
EBA -EXPSM-CV offers a smaller footprint for deployments Media Agent to 10 TB of FET. Called the extension system Small CommVault, this server provides several websites of the extension system for customers who need flexibility for remote sites or services of the range under 10 TB.
extension systems do not include installation. This allows customers the opportunity to purchase the facility separately. For more extension system deployments, customers can purchase a single installation of the extension system and add the rest of their own.
