California-based Paragon Software BDR Alternatives to outperform openBench Labs Benchmark Analysis -
Paragon Protect & Restore (PPR), a backup and recovery solution disaster Irvine, Paragon Software Group, has outperformed alternatives BDR reference in analyzes conducted by openBench Labs, an independent source of IT industry that provides assessment and certification of IT products and services, the Paragon reports.
Just released by openBench and now available for free download on the Paragon website, the two-part analysis shows that PPR ranked first in the areas of storage and use of resources, deduplication, and support for Microsoft Exchange and complex virtual server environments.
The findings indicate that openBench PPR using a fraction of competing storage solutions, with a backup without an average virtual machine SQL Server Agent (VM) consuming only 10 percent of the storage space used by BDR alternatives when deduplication is used. Without a SQL Server Agent, PPR created the complete picture of the smallest backup of all BDR solutions tested using deduplication. And without duplication, agentless incremental backups PPR were 12 percent of the size of the incremental image of another BDR provider, while agentless, full-VM backups were 63.5 percent smaller.
Further results and information about the test environment and methodology used can be found in two new reports openBench Labs here.
