Is Your Password Strong Enough? Most online passwords are vulnerable to hacking

Is Your Password Strong Enough? Most online passwords are vulnerable to hacking -

A new study released today by Deloitte provides that 90 percent of online passwords generated by users will be vulnerable to piracy in 2013. the study cites a number of reasons, which include hacking increases in technology, words or phrases used for common passwords, and, worst of all, reuse passwords for several online accounts.

Deloitte cites a recent study that says the 10,000 passwords generated by the most common users would have gained 98.1 percent of all accounts. How can it be? Two reasons. People have trouble remembering passwords, so they use words or common phrases so they can better remember their password. This is especially true for passwords used on mobile devices, because it is often difficult to find special characters on a mobile keyboard. The other reason is that most users use a new password for more than one site. Deloitte said the average user has 26 different online accounts, but only 5 different passwords for each account. So if a password is hacked on a less secure site, a hacker can use to access your other online accounts.
