#vuvuzelabanned seems to be a scam

#vuvuzelabanned seems to be a scam -

The vuvuzela: it is boring football games, but is also becoming a nuisance online. First, Webroot reported that a company was selling an anti-Vuvuzela MP3 file container that would cancel the noise (it is a waste of money, and perhaps malicious software to boot). Today, we found something new. There is a suspect retweet claiming that "OMG! Vuvuzela Banned!" The tweet is spreading bots and apparently similar real Twitter users. We're not sure if "OMG! Vuvuzela Banned" is a worm, virus, or a robot, but shortened urls accompanying messages lead to a search url suspect .php to an unknown Russian field. Even among seemingly legitimate users, there seems to be some odd and coherent pairs of tweets, or offer free iPhones or links to "hot" or content "sexy" accompanied by a smiley:

We are not fade one of shortened uRLs in the images above, but needless to say, we do not recommend visiting. It reminds me a bit of curry-weightloss Twitter spam, we reported on a while. If you see the "OMG! Vuvuzela Banned!" Coming in your Twitter stream, just stay away. Really, what you end up with may be worse than a plastic horn buzzing. And so far, there are no new reports it has been banned in the World Cup.

As always, smart surfing, use an extender URL before clicking a shortened URL, and use Internet security software and keep it updated. If you click the wrong link, it could save your computer. You can consult our Internet security software reviews to find the Internet security software that is best for you.
