Kitchen of the week: Bright light, kitchen-dining - When the owners of this Edwardian semi-detached house in south London moved first into the rear of the ground -chaussée was divided into three separate rooms - a games room, a kitchen and a dining room - all at different levels, which makes the space feel cramped, dark and incohesive.

"Increasing the sense of light and space has been one of the most important parts of this project," said Morgan. The kitchen has a vaulted roof with lights in it. This is one of the preferred aspects of Morgan design. 'I love the ceiling in the kitchen and the direction of opening, it provides, he said. It also helps to delineate the area "working" room of the dining area, which has a lower ceiling for a more comfortable feel.
