Carbonite Backup and Recovery Hybrid brings to Office 365 -
Carbonite Inc., a provider of solutions for continuity of cloud and hybrid activity, introduced its latest version Carbonite backup server, offering hybrid backup for Microsoft Exchange Online in office 365 and enabling SMEs to protect critical business data created and hosted in the cloud.
Carbonite Backup Server enables organizations to protect against data loss with a hybrid feature that saves data to the cloud, locally to a physical hardware or network drive, or both. In addition to Office 365, Carbonite Backup Server supports servers (physical and virtual), database, Live applications, NAS drives, Hyper-V, and external hard drives.
The new version of Carbonite Backup Server is available for download. Additional features include:
- Mailbox level backup and restore - Carbonite Backup Server provides backup and recovery of Exchange mailboxes individual letters. Rather than restore an entire Exchange database to recover corrupted or deleted personal data by the user, IT administrators can search and restore Exchange mailboxes specific both locally and in Office 365.
- Customizing - administrators can apply the customization Carbonite backup Server - using the network, storage, retention periods, clouds and local backup targets, and more - in office 365.
- encryption - Secure 128-bit AES encryption transmitted through a Secure Socket Layer (SSL). Users can create a private encryption key 256 bits.
