Telcentris Opens Data Center in New York to Expand CLEC Footprint and add geographic redundancy -

Telcentris Inc., a cloud communications provider and creator of VoxOx VoxOx in business and opened a new data center at Equinix collocation facility 60 Hudson Street in new York. Activities and facilities of the company's data center have been centered on the West Coast.

Telcentris deployment of a large data center facility on the East Coast has allowed the company to significantly increase its management capacity of voice and data traffic. The new facility also added further geographic redundancy, allowing the continued diversion of traffic should be a disruption of the West Coast of infrastructure due to natural disasters, carrier issues, or other incidents affecting the physical structure or its contents. Previously, Telcentris used third-party services, such as Amazon AWS, to enable geographic redundancy.

The New York-based facility also expands CLEC (competitive local exchange carrier) footprint of the company. Being a CLEC enables Telcentris to provide services such as telephone numbers, local and long distance calls, and access to data on its own network, allowing it to compete with carriers from local services holders (ILECs) as aT & T

Telcentris was a CLEC facilities in California since November 2009 and has long been the development of its national CLEC infrastructure with regulatory approval in several other states. With the New York data center now in place, Telcentris will soon be able to reap the CLEC benefits in that geographic location, which, in turn, allows the company to pass the benefits along to customers .
